You guys know I love tea. And I love lemon in tea, too.
And since you’ve been with me throughout my detox period ridding the heavy metals from my body the last few years, I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite beverages that’s always refreshing and quite tasty.
I created this tea detox recipe a few weeks ago on a Friday night in my Manhattan apartment.
I had just been told that I had to cut out sugar from my lifestyle.
And I almost lost my mind.
I had Candida and it wasn’t fun. So, just like anyone else that is in excruciating pain- you do what you’ve gotta do to heal and help your body get better asap.
So, I purchased a few bottles of purified spring water. A few different herbal and green teas.
A bottle of organic apple cider vinegar.
Liquid stevia.
Fresh, organic cilantro and a whole ‘lotta fresh, organic lemons.
Yep, that’s all you’ll need.
I love tea but I’ve never written about it on my blog, which is kinda sorta crazy since I drink about 10 cups a day.
Don’t look at me like that. I know you like tea, too.
Or some sort of beverage that you drink 10 times a day. (I really hope it’s not soda)… Please tell me it’s not soda.
This is totally a summer beverage your whole family will be loving. Or maybe just you.
As for me, I’m heading downtown to the West Village to soak up the sunshine and read a new book. Of course, I’ve packed two water bottles with this tea to enjoy all afternoon.
Store-bought teas just aren’t the same.
Believe me. You’ll love it.
Here’s to cooling off the heat wave wherever you are this week.
Enjoy.

Wow what a great idea! I’ve done a lot of detoxing but I have yet to try the detox lemonade. Thanks for the great recipe 🙂
I am trying this Lemon Detox Tea today!! I have Candida issues and you are right…they are NOT fun! Thank you so much for sharing!! Happy Holidays 🙂
The tea test beautiful!! I’ve never never fought that i can actually use the apple vinegar in a beverage!! thank u so much! I really enjoy my tea time! 😀
Thanks Melanie; enjoy!!
thanks for sharing the great receipe of lemon detox i love lemom >>i must try this
Great, recipe. But what would you recommend as an alternative to Navita’s Naturals Liquid Stevia?
Tess, you can use honey, agave or raw sugar!
This looks so awesome! Can’t wait to try it this weekend for a family gathering! Loving your recipes!
Do you boil the water first & then cool it after or does your white tea not need any boiling water? (The only white tea I could find was with ginger in it too…)
I’m making the switch to cleaner eating / drinking (I already had celiac & just found out I have bacterial overgrowth & lactose intolerance on top of that)
I have already made several of your recipes but drinking just water was getting a bit boring so I’m excited to try this too.
Thank you so much for your website!
Thank you, Sophia. Yes boil the water like you are making tea then let it cool. Enjoy darling. xooxx
Thank you fot your sweet, awesome and quick response!
Anytime; enjoy! xoox
It’s another hot summer day in Kansas, so I’m making this today! Thanks!
This looks good!
Hmmm or maybe I was confused because I thought it was a recipe for the whole pitcher and it is just for a serving?
Yes, Colleen I doubled the recipe for a party!
Yum! I’ll definitely have to try this. I get tired of the same old lemon water.
Sounds good! Thanks for the post!
Just 2 cups of water? Did the author mean 2 quarts maybe? Sounds great though!!
Colleen, 2cups is correct! Enjoy.
Funny, Bragg’s makes a similar drink that I sometimes buy, Kavita does too…. But so much better when it’s homemade! I’m going to try this, seems simple enough!
Made this tea this week and really enjoyed it. So refreshing & clean!
