Not many people know how to roast garlic without foil, so I’m going to show you how it’s done. The first time I had roasted garlic was when I was out West in Colorado skiing with my family. I was very young but I remember the restaurant served my family the most tender roasted garlic as an appetizer with crusty bread and the garlic melted like butter in our mouths. It was heaven! Ever since then I’ve wanted to recreate that buttery taste and this roasted garlic recipe is pretty darn close to it.
Let’s talk about roasting garlic for a minute.
It’s not necessary to use foil.
I repeat, you do not need foil to roast garlic.
When you do use aluminum foil, you’re allowing heavy metals (from the tin foil) to leach into your food. If you want that, go for it. But, I am pretty sure you don’t.
I spent years trying to remove heavy metals from my body and they were insanely tough to get out so I highly suggest you opt out of the tin foil situation.
