Aunt Val, you’ve got me hooked. Fig jam was introduced to me years ago during the holidays as my aunt always has a beautiful spread of crackers, cheese n’ fig jam amongst the appetizers and I’ve grown to love this delicious spread atop muffins, turkey, tofu and ricotta cheese n’ crackers.
Too cute not to purchase. Well, that’s my philosophy at least. These pretty little mini orange tomatoes are so beautiful I can’t help myself but to pop a few in my mouth when I’m walking around the market or Whole Foods Market…they’re so sweet … almost like a fruit and perfect in omelets n’ salads.
A new found love since I’ve recently discovered that I can consume some lactose n’ dairy as I’ve been experimenting with dairy the past few months and really enjoying the tastes and pleasures without getting a stomach ache. Let’s not get too carried away now, I’m still lactose intolerant however it seems my body is starting to accept certain cheeses and goat’s milk n’ goat’s cheeses, as well. Very exciting.
Uniquely fun and a fabulous replacement for edemame if you’re not a fan of soy or if you don’t have an edemame on hand when a recipe calls for it.
Ahhh yes, the good ol’ gluten-free grain of choice. O how I love thee.
I just love the name and saying it over and over again…Kimchi Kimchi Kimchi, it’s fun isn’t it? Well, it’s also very tasty as this Korean dish is comprised of preserved veggies which marries the pucker of pickles with the sizzle of chiles. Yum.
Simple yet satisfying. Where have they been all my life? I enjoy slicing pears and plopping them into a pitcher of ice water along with cilantro and fresh lime wedges for a delicious naturally flavored water.
So bold. So beautiful. So delicious. I’ve been putting them into my morning smoothies, squeezing their sweet juice onto my afternoon salads and drizziling an orange citrus marinade atop my grilled fish for dinner. Let’s surely not forget dessert, where I’ve been sprinkling orange zest and a squeeze of orange juice into my Greek yogurt parfaits. Perfect.
