Many of us know the basics of eating healthy and living a clean lifestyle, but in the moment, many of my clients find it tough to make healthy decisions. That’s why today I’m sharing a little sneak peak with you from a super fun event I attended earlier this month. I was so excited to attend an event that was featuring the wellness community with a focus on healthy food! John Hancock brought everyday healthy food choices to life on April 6th at the John Hancock Vitality Marketplace at Grand Central Terminal (one of my favorite beautiful buildings) here in New York City.

Chef and restaurateur Tom Colicchio stopped by the John Hancock Vitality Marketplace to serve up healthy foods and showed everyone how to get rewarded for their everyday healthy food choices. This was a super fun event that was very hands-on and exciting for me to attend because I was fascinated by the fact that more and more companies are caring about wellness and healthy eating and this makes me SO happy! The fact that there are now events for clean eating that are focused on helping others learn how to start making small steps to living a healthier life makes my heart sing. It makes me realize that there is a huge shift going on in our world and that more people are leaning towards healthier lifestyles because they are realizing the benefits of healthy eating and clean living overall. Such an exciting time!

Last year, John Hancock changed the way people think about life insurance with the introduction of John Hancock life insurance with Vitality, an innovative kind of life insurance that rewards people for the healthy choices they make, like exercising, seeing your doctor, and now with the new HealthyFood benefit, purchasing healthy foods at the grocery store. I thought this was such a unique concept so I joined in on this event and had a really great time interacting with the fun healthy food stations and watching New Yorkers interact and learn about living a healthier lifestyle. I’m not one to promote things that I don’t believe in, as many of you know, but this event and experience was something different that really made an impact on me and so I wanted to share it will all of you.

As I get older, I’m focusing more and more on my clients with their overall health and well-being, which includes making sure they are in the right mindset about aging and making sure they (and their entire family) are secure. This means talking to them about things such as health insurance, life insurance and so on…which is why this program was a perfect fit for me and I’m glad I got to spend the afternoon interacting with folks that are giving back and doing great things for people like us.

With the new HealthyFood program, not only will you save up to $600 a year on the nutritious foods you buy, but it can also help you save on your life insurance premium and earn valuable rewards and everyday savings for those healthy food purchases. You can visit John Hancock for more info!
