Ingredients
  • 5 large plums approximately 1 lb., pitted and chopped
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. raw organic honey
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. fresh orange zest
  • 1/4 tsp. fresh lemon zest
Instructions
  1. Combine pitted plums, red wine vinegar and honey in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cover and bring to a simmer, add red pepper flakes and reduce heat and cook for another 10 minutes until plums are extremely tender. Add orange zest and lemon zest and remove from heat. Transfer mixture to a food processor and pulse until it resembles a chutney consistency (some chunks and some puree).
  2. Let cool completely. Ladle chutney into clean glass jars, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Chutney will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
