A big thank you to the folks over at Organic Valley for providing me with special VIP access complimentary tickets to Meatopia!
Last weekend, I attended the most amazing BBQ event of a lifetime: Meatopia. The event held on Governor’s Island off the Southern tip of Manhattan; I took a beautiful ferry ride over to the island for the day to enjoy this exciting event. Meatopia featured 30 tops chefs and BBQ teams barbecuing local and sustainable meats. The inaugural Meatopia event was co-hosted by James Beard Award winning food writer Josh Ozersky and many other famous foodies.
In the spirit of sustainability, all chefs used meat from animals that were raised responsibly and humanely and many chefs paired with local farms to use products from regional farms.
I attended this fabulous event on behalf of Organic Valley, whom I was delighted to represent.
The bison was by far the best I’ve ever had.
Pulled pork tacos…yum.
China Grill’s delicious steak.
This was the most amazingly delicious lil cup o’ fun…I honestly could have eatin’ 10.
There were 30 amazing BBQ hot spots that were all located in their own tents…I surely hit all 30 and had a fabulous time.
Tons of people, Tons of sun, Tons of fun…on Rosevelt Island.
The chefs hard at work…
The big bison cook-off was the best part of Meatopia.
Chefs still hard at work…makin’ corn salsa and ribs…
How beautiful is this display? I couldn’t resist to try these steak tips…
And ‘ya just can’t go wrong with kabobs, so I had a nibble of these too.
And I’m still stuffed.
Thank you again to Organic Valley for providing me with tickets to this amazing Meatopia BBQ tasting event.
I had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed each of my 30 ‘tastes’.
