Cashew Butter

My favorite nut butter? Hmmmm…that’s a tough one; I’d have to say it’s a close tie between the Macadamia Nut Butter and the Honey Almond Butter…they ‘knocked my socks off’ and I created delicious recipes from breakfast pancakes to dinner peanut sauce to decadent desserts…

There’s something special about nut butters…they’re not just for your typical PB&J…they compliment any dish and keep your meals exciting, as well as your taste buds yearning for more!

  1. Honestly, I have not tried any nut butters. I know. I should be very ashamed. I’m sort of afraid to buy any b/c I hear how fantastic and addicting they are. So, alas, no recipe. However, if I were to win a macadamia nut butter, I think your recipe would be the first one I’d make. How’s that for an answer 😉

    1. Yummmy; thanks Heather…great answer! I hope you try the nut butters soon…they’re quite delishy…Have a great day!

  2. I have never tried MaraNatha nut butters! My favourite recipe though is simply peanut butter and icing sugar mixed together, formed into balls and then dipped in chocolate and if you like, coated in nuts or coconuts!

  3. Sweet! My favorite recipe is this chocolate almond butter “Reese’s” cup made with almond butter, crushed organic graham crackers, melted dark chocolate, and other ingredients.

  4. I LOVE maranatha nut butters…I recently discovered the no-stir chunky almond butter, and I seriously put it on EVERYTHING!

My favorite (or I should say new favorite) nut butter recipe are the Oaties made by HEAB…sooo:
toasted oatmeal, nut butter of your choice, agave nectar/maple syrup, chopped nuts/chocolate chips, mixed together and baked for 10 minutes. AMAZING.

  5. Ive never actually baked with nut butters….. typically I love them in a bowl of oatmeal or straight off the spoon! (Not much of a recipe I know, but so, so good)!

  6. I love to stir nut butter into oatmeal, which I have almost every morning! I toast rolled oats in butter, then add boiling water and let them cook. When they’re done, I add milk, a pinch of salt, and whatever nut butter I have on hand. Sometimes half of a sliced banana, too. Mmm!

  7. What a wonderful giveaway – yippie, I have always wanted to try this brand of nut butter. I love nut butters on warm toast so it gets all gooey and then I sprinkle on ground flax seed and top with some homemade applesauce – yummy. I also eat straight from the spoon!!!

  8. Not a recipe really, but I love my almond butter mixed with some cinnamon and almond milk and drizzled over a sweet potato, utterly devine 🙂

  9. i love love love maranatha pb and almond butter in Super Charge Me Cookies, from Eat Drink and Be Vegan. Their butters take these already fabulous cookies to the next level.

  10. nut butters are good with EVERYTHING, but i must say that my favorite way to eat them is to use them as dips for fresh fruit. mm!

  11. I LOVE maranatha!! It is my faaaaaavorite brand of nut butter, ever!! 🙂 I haven’t ever made nut butters, but I do want to try out making pecan butter in my food processor sometime! 🙂

  12. I love to mix nut butters with maple syrup and cinnamon and then heat it up in the microwave and have it to did fruit in.

  13. I love to mix equal parts nut butter (almond is my current fave, but I’d LOVE to try macadamia), milk and cream cheese and pour the resulting icing on a bowl of hot oats or use it as a dip for fruit.

  14. I actually make a great sauce from a vegetarian cookbook that is peanut butter, cilantro, and a little vinegar. It sounds weird, but it’s awesome!

  15. I just found your blog today and I’m really enjoying reading your posts!

I love Maranantha…and the best nut butter recipe is, hands down, Averie from Love Veggies and Yoga’s pb cups! Sometimes ab cups as well, of course!

  16. I love eating nut butter all alone but there is nothing better than mixing some into a fresh hot bowl of steel cut oats with some cinnamon and vanilla. The oats melt the nut butter and just a little bit goes so far. It is by far my favorite combination but I’ll put nut butter on almost anything I eat!

  17. I LOVE MaraNatha butters! I just take a scoopful and eat it but I do enjoy a classic pbj sandwich. I’ve also made a chocolate peanut butter banana shake for my boyfriend once. He said it was really good 🙂

  18. OK, it isn’t really a recipe, but I like to eat it straight from the jar. If not, haha, then I like it on crackers – yeah, so simple, but soooooo good. I like the crunch with the rich almond butter flavor. 🙂

  19. Almond butter protein shake: 1 scoop whey protein, 1 cupe almond milk, 1 banana, 2 egg whites, 1 huge scoop of almond butter!
