dear amie valpone column where amie answers her readers questions via audio!

You asked for it.

So, you’re getting it.

It’s about time I started answering your MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED questions.

I receive hundreds of emails and direct messages on social media asking for advice and guidance with everything from hormones to being an entrepreneur and what non-toxic shampoo I use to how to treat bloating.

I respond to every message I receive personally but there are so many questions that have similar themes so I want to share my thoughts and responses in this new quarterly column, “Dear Amie“.

Tell me what you want to know.

Yes, I’ll be answering your most frequently asked questions once a quarter. Think SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, and WINTER. So, think about what you wanna know and what you want to me to chat about!

You can listen to the SPRING 2018 Season below.

I’m digging into details about hormones and MTHFR methylation (detoxification).

Now, it’s your turn.

You can ASK ME ANYTHING and I’ll pick a few questions each quarter to answer via an AUDIO clip (see above to listen).

Please submit your questions via Hello@TheHealthyApple.com and we’ll add your question to our list.

I hope you love this new column. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Much love,

x

  1. Hi Amie! I am 23, in medical school and falling apart. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a year ago and I am finally coming to realize that I need clean my body. I just read your book Eating Clean and I am not sure whether or not I should be eating grains during my detox – other diets ban all grains but you include it. Should I include this or not?

    1. Hi Jerome,
I have clients with Hashimoto’s that NEED grains and can’t go without them and then I have others that can’t eat them. We are all SO different. You must learn to trust your body. That is the only way to know if they work for you or not. Happy to work with you as a client if you’re interested! xx

  2. This was so incredibly helpful Amie! I recently found out I have the MTHFR mutation and it explains a lot of my health & healing journey over the years. Am definitely going to begin taking methylated folate & B12 after listening to this and going to give my liver some love with more epsom salt baths, dry brushing, oil pulling, etc. Looking forward to more Dear Amie’s!

    1. Thank you Mindy! SO glad this resonates with you. Make sure to tell your doctor before you take it so that he/she knows. Thank you for your support. Much love, xx

  3. I have your book clean eating 21 days and love it. It’s amazing what you’ve been able to figure out on your own and you are helping many women by sharing your information. Thank you. I’ve suffered with mild to moderate acne my entire life (age 12-present and I’m 48 now) and it does not run in my family. I eat clean and healthy 95% of the time (gluten free, dairy free, etc) and my blood work always comes out normal and I am at a healthy weight and always have been. I have no other symptoms other than the acne. My gyno said I’m a little estrogen dominate/perimennipause and I take DIM and Vitex, but nothing helps. The acne is mainly on my chin and I have to pluck about 2-3 course hairs out of my chin per day which is also causing the acne. I have already taken a food sensitivity test and avoid the foods I am sensitive to. Is there another test I can take or do you have any recommendations for me to get rid of my acne and chin hairs for good? After 35+ years of dealing with this, I would love to figure out a way to make it go away.

    1. Hi JJ,
Lovely to hear from you. I’m happy to work with you one-on-one with a client. From my experience, none of the hormonal supplements helped me and food didn’t do anything to help my hormones after cutting out the inflammatory foods. Nothing else helped! Happy to work with you.
      Much love,
      x
