Bee's Wrap
I am SO excited for today’s post. I’ve been wanting to share this amazing product with you for a few years now and I never got around to it, sorry! Healing comes first but it’s time to share away now. I discovered Bee’s Wrap one day when I was searching for non-toxic health living alternatives. I was trying to find something to replace my tin foil, plastic wrap and press n’ seal junk that I grew up on. Now, I’ve used parchment paper for about 3 years because it was my grandma’s favorite and it reminds me of her. But it doesn’t stick to anything so I have to use a rubber-band and make some crazy science project-looking thing in my fridge just to keep my food covered. It’s not pretty. But it’s non-toxic, none the less. Then I discovered Bee’s Wrap and my whole world changed. YES. My whole world. It’s like a cloth but better! It’s made from bee’s wax and smells incredible. I use it to cover up all my leftovers in my fridge- you can also use it to cover up gluten-free bread, so it’s not just for cold food! When the folks at Mighty Nest, whom I love dearly (and I mean dearly—I’ve bought almost everything on their site because they’re so real, authentic and genuine and their products are legit), reached out to me to let me know they were selling Bee’s Wrap with their MightyFix feature, my jaw dropped. I knew it was time to share it with you! So here we go. I hope you have a lot of leftovers hanging around because they’ll inspire you to get yourself some Bee’s Wrap (and I’ve got a discount code for you below, yay!).

So, what is Bee’s Wrap and why would you want to use it? Well, for starters, all those plastic, foiled, gross food storage products are, well, gross. Who wants aluminum in their food? Who wants plastic and chemicals in their food? Not me. That’s for sure. I wish I had discovered this brand decades ago so my younger self didn’t have to eat a PB&J wrapped in plastic chemicals. Delish. Anyhoo- this is surely a brilliant alternative to the rolls and rolls of plastic wrap the typical family goes through every year for lunch prep and food storage. I know you’ve been there. Toss that plastic garbage and get onto the non-toxic bandwagon. Remember, as I mention in my book, detox isn’t just about detoxing your food and eating clean, it’s also about detoxing the plastic and chemicals in your home so that they don’t effect your health.
What I love about Bee’s Wrap is that it’s made from organic cotton muslin, beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin—this combo of pure ingredients and the infused fabric create a bendable and seal-able food wrap that can be used again and again. Genius, if you ask me. Pure genius. The simple warmth of your hands naturally creates a seal on the Bee’s Wrap and as the beeswax cools, the material stiffens and holds the seal intact on your container or food. Yes, it’s not too good to be true. This is for real. No chemicals in site.
Another natural perk that I’m loving is that beeswax and jojoba oil have antibacterial qualities that help to keep your food fresh. You can use Bee’s Wrap for baked goods, fruits and veggies and covering leftovers. Pretty fancy, wouldn’t you say?

You’re probably wondering how you clean Bee’s Wrap…No problem. It’s easy. Simply wash the wrap in cool water with a mild dish soap and allow to air dry before folding it into a square shape. You can store it in your kitchen cabinets or drawer similarly to how you store your kitchen hand towels. You can also roll the Bee’s Wrap and store vertically in a container. See? It’s super duper easy. No toxins. No fuss. Trust me on this one, you’ll fall in love with it and you’ll feel so good about getting the last bit of foil, plastic and other press n’ seal junk out of your kitchen!
Here are a few pics to show you how I seal the top of my ceramic bowl. Easy peasy. I can’t wait for you to try this. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

    1. Thanks Heidi; yes I use my hands to warm up the wax-like paper and so that it becomes really soft and sticks well. I wrap my sandwiches and also use a piece of ribbon around it too to secure if needed. No container needed. xox
