INFLAMMATION
Inflammation is a hot topic these days and it spans from everything like a canker sore to a bloated belly, from PMS to arthritis. Here are a few supplement products Amie loves to target and decrease inflammation.
The topic of inflammation and how to figure out WHAT is driving your inflammation is covered extensively in The Valpone Method™ Foundation online program!
NAC (n-acetylcysteine) – this is the precursor to Glutathione
Glutathione Suppositories – (I talk about why I use these instead of the oral glutathione here and here)
GUT HEALTH
Gut health is another widely known term used these days. Almost 70% of our immune system lives in our gut so if we want a healthy body, we need to focus on the beneficial bacteria vs. the non-beneficial bacteria and yeast (candida) in our body. Here are a few supplement products we love to support your digestion and gut health.
Our three Personalized Meal Plans + Protocols for Gut Health (SIBO, Candida, and Histamines) dive deep into protocols from Amie’s 12-year personal healing experience and each program includes a 12-week anti-inflammatory meal plan.
Dysbiosis //
Take 1 Tbsp. coconut oil two times a day. It contains lauric and capric acids, which discourage viruses and yeast, so it’s great for maintaining your intestinal health.
Gastrointestinal Support //
Glutamine, quercetin, aloe vera, licorice, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, fibers, probiotics, and prebiotics. Include “prebiotics” (foods that act as fertilizers to help your good bacteria grow) like apples, berries, pears, legumes, and most veggies. Add at least 30 grams daily of real food fiber (fruits, whole grains, veggies). Other options include oregano oil, thyme oil, berberine, goldenseal, grapefruit seed extract, raw garlic, and high-quality probiotics (see below for the probiotic section).
Lactose Intolerance //
The enzyme lactase can help break down lactose in dairy. Try Lacto by Enzymedica.
Gluten Intolerance //
Gluten-digesting enzymes DPP IV can help digest small amounts of gluten when you are eating out at a restaurant (in case of contamination). NOTE: this does not mean you can eat gluten; this is only to help you in cases of cross-contamination.
Probiotics //
Try a few of my favorite brands: Probiotic Plus, Metagenics UltraFlora, Jarrow Formulas, Klaire Labs Therbiotic Complete and Flora Probiotics.
Enzymes //
For trouble digesting beans, try enzyme alpha-galactosidase. Bean Assist by Enzymedica is also great. For sluggish digestion, proteases help with proteins, amylase is good for carbs, and lipases work well for fat digestion. Try Flora Enzymes, Similase by Integrative Therapeutics, or Digest Gold by Enzymedica.
Support Stomach Acid Production //
This protocol is located in each Personalized Meal Plans + Protocols for Gut Health. Purchase one of those programs for the full protocol.
Soothe an Irritated, Inflamed Belly //

HORMONE BALANCE + PMS
Amie spent 12+ years balancing her hormones after c-diff colitis, SIBO, Candida, Lyme and more wreaked havoc on her endocrine system. These supplements target balancing your hormones (endometriosis, PCOS, PMS, menopause).
The topic of hormone balancing and how to figure out WHAT is driving your imbalance is covered extensively in The Valpone Method™ online program.
Adrenals and Hormones //
Isotonic Quinton Sea Water or Hypertonic Quinton Sea Water
High Blood Sugar //
Grapefruit Seed Extract Pure Encapsulations

Here are a few supplement recommendations to get you started in the meantime.
