  • Clean food parties.  Amie hosts Clean Eating workshops at schools, organizations, Corporate Wellness Programs as well as at clients’ homes as an informal, fun evening event where guests learn about clean eating, try their hand at preparing it, and then enjoy the fruits of their labor.
  • Educator/Presenter. While Amie is happy to stay in the kitchen, Amie can also be part of the entertainment—particularly if you want to have someone present and educate guests on specific foods. Amie has worked with many major brands to represent their foods at conferences and events and is happy to include this as part of the service.

Personal Food Shopping Services & Supermarket Tours

You’ve been to the grocery store countless times – but after you’ve gone with me, you’ll never make that trip the same way again.  Amie has created a fun and exciting grocery store tour to help you better navigate the aisles.  Amie will show you what to look for, what to avoid, how to read nutrition labels, how to steer clear of ‘food marketing’ ploys and identify healthy products.  Amie also works with clients as their personal shopper for groceries and introduces the best places for fresh, seasonal produce at the best prices while saving you time and money.  This service can be a private one-on-one tour as well as a group tour with you and your friends.

Kitchen Ambush & Pantry Makeover

Amie’s Pantry Makeover service will do more than provide you with the knowledge you need to make healthier, cost effective choices in the grocery store.  As a Healthy Family Pantry Stylist, Amie will organize the pantry and fridge in your home, meet with you to clean out your pantry and fridge and create a grocery list for you and your family.  Amie will then do your food shopping and stock your pantry and fridge to make your meal prep easy and convenient.

Personalized Healthy Menu Planning

Amie works with clients to personalize a list of menus using healthy, fresh foods in unique, delicious and innovative ways that will keep your meals exciting, taste buds happy and your body healthy.

  • Healthy Family Plan
Despite the desire to enjoy and indulge in food it is equally important to pay attention to what you are eating. This program will provide a healthy blueprint for enjoying food while reducing weight or maintaining healthy body weight.
  • Gluten-Free/ Wheat-Free Plan

Wheat gluten allergy (Celiac Disease) or Gluten Intolerance can cause agonizing bloating, stomach cramps and resistance to weight loss. Amie will provide a gluten-free meal plan, tips and recipe ideas that can help alleviate symptoms.  Amie will create a nutrition program focused on the gluten-free individual.

  • Dairy-Free Plan
Lactose Intolerance can also cause bloating, sinus infections, stomach cramps and resistance to weight loss. Amie will create a nutrition program focused on the lactose intolerant individual.
  • Soy-Free Plan
Amie will create a nutrition program focused on the soy-free individual as soy is a hidden ingredient in products such as tea and salad dressings that many people are unaware.
  • Vegetarian/ Vegan Plan
Amie will teach you how to combine plant-based proteins, healthy carbohydrates and unsaturated fats.  Amie will create a program based on your Vegetarian and/or Vegan wants and needs.

Amie works with clients throughout the country and offer the same benefits and support to my Phone and Skype clients as she does with her In-Person clients.

Don’t live in Manhattan? No problem.  Amie offers services using Skype where we can schedule a face-to-face video chat, cooking demos and consultations with Amie.  Skype is a free service that is fun and easy to use.

Is there a problem for men consuming soy products? I read an article that stated unfermented soy creates an hormonal (estrogen) imbalance for men and that the Japanese are careful to not consume unfermented soy. If there is truth to that, is there not a real problem for America as so many food products are including soy in the ingredients?

Sandra Gwin January 18, 2014 at 12:30 am

Yes, there is truth in that soy has phytoestrogen compounds that will effect your hormone balance. Americans have jumped on the band wagon with soy, because Japanese have a lower incidence of heart disease and other functional diseases of aging we assumed it was because they eat soy, a lot. The truth is they rarely eat it unless it has been fermented. Tofu is the exception but is not eaten in huge quantities.
Soy has enough estrogen in it that if a woman drinks soy milk on a daily basis while pregnant with a male child it can permanently deform the male genitalia making them much smaller than normal and it is irreversible!

Thank you Sandra; so glad you enjoyed my Estrogen Dominance page! Have a great night.

I’m interested in knowing what you charge for the pantry makeover and the supermarket tour. Is there a discount if I do both of them?

I am responsible for a rehearsal party at an Irish Pub in August. My son Matt and his bride Caroline want heavy hor d oerves. She was diagnosed in January with Celiacs and on gluten free diet. It hurts my heart to see her tear up at a restaurant while looking thru a menu. I am beside myself at trying to come up with hor d’oerves for the pub to serve as we do not want bride to be sick on her wedding day. Kids rejected first menu. Can you help in any way? What are the cost of your services?

I woould love a breakdown of what you offer to those out of state. I am in Wshington state. My daughter is free of gluten, dairy and soy due to allergies and has recently taken out garlic and coconut products due to gastro upset.
We try to eat healthy but I keep it so basic it is not very fun. Your website is very interesting.

Hi Amie,

I discovered your site a few weeks ago, I cannot thank you enough. I have gluten/dairy intolerance, am a vegan and try to avoid sugar, eat clean, and look for high protein/high fiber foods. Your advice and recipes are amazing. I wish you lived in Australia. I haven’t been able to find anyone here that can shed light on creating a diet to fit these constraints.
Would you consider a skype consult to all the way over here in Australia? What are your fees? (similar to an above comment, I know, but I would love to talk with you)

Thanks again!

Amie March 26, 2013 at 7:29 am

I have looked at you site and wonder if you can help me with any suggestions for my grandson age 2 just diagnosed with Autism. As I look at the autism sites, they claim a detox of the body helps with brain function… so of course clean eating and removing all colors and “natural flavors, etc” and sugars, is what we should do. However he is just 2. I know he loves his milk, I have suggested almond and coconut milk. would you have any other suggestions to help us get started… this is so overwhelming to his mom and me. We live in two different states, this is going to be a tough one. Thank you

Amie June 20, 2013 at 12:47 pm

Thank you Cindy; so great to hear from you! Happy to help; I work with many children and families who have autistic children and have helped them with a gluten free, casein free and dairy free lifestyle! Rice, oat and hemp milk are great options- be sure to purchase unsweetened! Hang in there and stay positive. Happy to work with you and your grandson as clients! xox

Sandra Gwin January 18, 2014 at 12:34 am

Have you heard of the G.A.P.S. diet? It was developed specifically for Autistic children. You can google it at or It is very effective and I know children who were not functioning that are now much improved following this diet.

Amie January 18, 2014 at 7:18 pm

Thank you Sandra; yes I have heard of GAPS and have used it with many clients! It’s very helpful.

Hello, and thank you for posting the anti inflamation foods list. My family and I have been eating “clean” for years, but I just recently cut out gluten, and the the small amount of sugar I was eating. I have Premature Ovarian Failure, which also gives me Hypothyroid, mild RA (developed in the past year), and this morning I noticed I have a quarter size bald spot on my scalp, Alopecia, All autoimmune issues. Due to the hypothyroid, I have stopped eating goitregens too. I will be 42 next week, and I am trying very hard not to get too depressed over this, and I am praying that improving my nutrition even more will help. Can you offer me any advice, I am desperate. Thank you, Jennifer

We’re struggling a bit to find good healthy meals that are easy to prepare (due to my fibromyalgia and arthritis) as well as being free of gluten, soy, peanut, treenuts, fish, corn, and egg that my picky six year old will actually eat!
