Bread diced into small cubes on a cutting board.

A big thank you to the folks over at Dave’s Killer Bread for sending me a delicious loaf of KILLER bread.

I have been eager to tell each of you about the delicious breads over at Dave’s Killer Bread.

Dave offers a vast array of delicious and healthy breads:

My clients and I were lucky enough to sample Dave’s delicious breads; we were amazed by the fresh, chewy texture and nutritional content of each slice! This was by far the best bread I have ever tasted and my clients agreed 100%.   Last week, my clients and I sampled Dave’s bread and had a great time making sandwiches, baked croutons, meatballs and vegetarian bean burgers.  There are countless ways to enjoy Dave’s Killer Bread in your recipes; simply sub Dave’s bread for your bread crumbs, processed croutons and unhealthy breads void of fiber, loaded with additives and artificial flavors.

You haven’t tasted a REAL bread until you have a slice of Dave’s. You’ll be saying goodbye to your store bought ‘fake fiber’ and ‘fake whole grain’ breads once you bite into Dave’s loaf. As I have mentioned before, we must be cautious when shopping for whole grain breads-just because the package advertises ‘Whole Grains’ does not necessarily mean that the product contains the entire bran, germ and endosperm in contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm.  Each part of the whole grain kernel contains many essential vitamins and nutrients from fiber to antioxidants, minerals, and protein found in the endosperm and germ.  We must be sure to carefully study the ingredients on each label — but no worries here, Dave’s got you covered with his all-star ingredients.

If you are in the market for a new bread or just ready to break out of your Wonder Bread routine, take a look at Dave’s website and order yourself a loaf or two of his unique bread creations.

As you can see from the above bread variety as well as the new products in development, Dave has created a KILLER Whole Grain business.  Each of Dave’s delicious breads is made from whole grain, which as we all know is far healthier than products made with refined grains.

Moreover, Dave’s breads contain no animal products, therefore every tasty loaf is vegan. No artificial flavors, no preservatives, no corn syrup, no high fructose corn syrup! Now, that’s hard to beat! Each loaf is sweetened with organic molasses, natural fruit juices and organic cane juice.

Thank you again to the kind folks over at Dave’s Killer Bread for sending me samples of their whole grain breads. I know my clients are going to be ordering Dave’s bread for their children’s lunch sandwiches — it seems we’ve finally found a healthy fiber-ful bread that has a liking to the kids taste buds! Now there’s a way to put whole grains into your families meals.

  1. I agree with many reviews here, and am happy to see I am not alone. I bought this bread (two different kinds) and gave them both away. Horrible stuff and told the company that. The bread might be “organic” but its sugar content is through the roof, and the texture is too glutinous (simple term: gooey) and with no true texture. I find the bread actually has little taste, except for the sugar, even though it touts “non GMO” etc. I will stick with Ezekiel’s and other REAL breads.

  2. Too high in sugar for me. 3 g per tiny slice is far too much. 4 g of sugar is 1 tsp! I won’t be buying it again. I called them to ask why so much but no one had the courtesy to call me back, so much for customer service.

  3. If you eat healthy alternatives like natural peanut butter with no added sugar, the sugar in the bread should not be a problem.

  4. I usually get the Udis bread at Costco but I decided to buy Dave’s Killer Bread after reading your review. And I can tell you I do not regret taking a leap of faith and buying it! I was hesitant at first because the price of two loaves of Dave’s Killer Bread was less than one loaf of the Udis bread. However, after having two slices yesterday for lunch, I am definitely hooked! I won’t be going back to the overpriced Udis bread again! Thanks so much Amie for helping me find the “perfect” bread!

  5. I think some of the comments above about the sugar content are correct. I was so excited about trying Dave’s Killer Bread, but with 10 grams of sugar in 2 slices, it IS a killer. AND, reading the ingredients it is listed on the 21 seeds and grains bread as sugar… sure not fake sugar, but sugar. (aaah, that’s why everyone loves the taste, it’s sweet); It’s too bad, because Costco sells it for a killer price! I don’t think I can give my kids any extra sugar in my diet. Buying a whole grain loaf from Whole Foods or a trusted bakery that lists ingredients is a better way to go. Too bad; it WAS yummy.

    1. I just wrote something similar, it’s not necessary to have so much sugar per tiny slice. I’ll be going back to bread that has 2 g per regular sized slice, or even better no added sugar at all!

  6. I have eaten 3 loaves so far and out of curiosity I finally put on my reading glasses to see the ingredients because I couldn’t figure out why it was tasting so sweet. The sweetness is not something I enjoy in bread and I started feeling nauseous and now I won’t even touch the bread. I have an unopened loaf that I will not be eating….maybe the chickens will get to peck on it. Why would you spoil an otherwise good bread with all that sucrose and corn syrup? Take it out because the way it is I will not eat another slice!

  7. How about less sugar in another loaf? Yours, though delicious is too high in sugar for a diabetic who watches carb counts and exercise to avoid medications for diabetes…. PLEASE!

    1. You have to look at the type of sugar in the loaf; where is it coming from and the source. If it’s whole grains it’s not sugar like white bread and white rice so it’s much better and slow burning carbs. Also eat fat with your carbs and sugar so they don’t spike your blood sugar!

  8. Awsome bread, just bought my first loaf! Keeps me feeling full longer and so much more nutritious that the mainstream brands.

  9. Dave’s Killer Bread is the best bread I have ever eaten. I love it! I’ve been telling all my friends to try it. Is it gluten free?

  10. Love this bread! Its not often you find bread this nutritious that also tastes this great! Even my 4 yr old loves it and I can feel good about feeding it to her: )

    1. Thank you so much Mandy; I am SO happy to hear that. Have a great weekend and thank you so much for your comment!

  11. All the girls in my office shun away from his bread because of the calories but I keep telling them…these are good calories to have…so much more beneficial than the other breads! I enjoy my sandwiches so much more and I’m actually full for hours! The taste is awesome. LOVE LOVE LOVE this bread!

    1. Thanks Kathy; great to hear from you! So happy to hear you enjoy this bread. Have a wonderful evening.
